This little red fella is a baby Bobba. Babobbas are not quite as tough as full-grown Bobbas. These little guys spit out their teeth, causing you to die if you touch them.

These little blue vorticons run around and breakneck speed, running over and paralyzing Keen for a bit. These guys can be very annoying, but if you zap them once your worries will disapear.

Badoing Creature
The Shikadi kidnapped these mutant worms from a far away galaxy for reasons unknown. The Badoings mostly hide in the floor panals of the Shikadi mother ship, waiting to suprise any unsuspecting visitors.
An Apogee game that Commander Keen had cameos in. Once in the Trash Dump Level as a hostage Snake must rescue. And in the Specimens Lab Level there are items such as yorps, boobus bombs, and other items. The last place is in the inventory of "kamikaze mutants" in the Specimens Lab Level, there is a giant statue of a yorp.

Bip Creature
Bips are the cogs in the Bloogs' machine. They run platforms, they patrol areas in their Bipships, and generally cause havoc. They fight for anyone, but they happened to hook up with the Bloogs.

Sitting in his castle atop Mount Tuberest, Boobus Tuber brings kids to Tuberia to be his slaves. Defeat him with Boobus Bombs. Then you can turn off his dream machine and rescure all the kids! The very last enemy in Keen Dreams. This big giant potato hops around and is deadly to the touch. Regular flower power won't work on this guy. You have to use the special boobus bombs that you collected in the game. Throw 12 at him to win the game!

This is one of two robots created for menial work and guard duties. This robot moves fast trying to push Keen off cliffs, a bit like the yorps do, only with greater speed. These robots are not a serious threat but they can become very annoying and there is no way to kill them.

Gnosticenes. These old guys are the ones you're supposed to save in Keen 4. The Shikadi kidnapped them and put them in the Shadowlands. They are the guardians of the oracle, and the only ones that can activate it. They are also immortal.
One day, when they were bored, the Droidiccus created the Cyba-Mallow. It's part marshmallow and part cyborg, and all trouble! Please note that there are two versions of the Cyba-Mallow: A blue and a red.

Dopefish Creature
The second dumbest creature in the universe, this creature's thought patterns go "swim, swim, hungry, swim, swim, hungry." They'll eat anything alive and moving near them, though they prefer heroes. In the GBC version they jump out of water and you are able to kill them unlike the Keen 4 version. This is one of the most famous enemies of Keen and has appeared in numerous other games. Droidican Emperor Creature
The Drodican Emperor is a poisonous foe. You'll have to face him on his home turf: The Imperial Palace, which is a strange and unnerving place. The Emperor runs from side to side, throwing poison at you and releasing a robot to help him in his attacks. When you defeat the emperor you get a plasma crystal.

These robotic troopers are the Droidican Emperor's prime defense--serving to keep the Warp Drive technology safe. Droidican Soldiers aren't very smart though, so they need a lot of discipline.

An item you must retrieve from the Vorticons in Keen 1. The Everclear is taken from your Dad's liquor cabinet and is used as the BWB Megarocket's fuel.

Extra Life Item
Grab an icon of Commander Keen or other items to receive and extra life. In each different episode, a certain amount of points will also get you a new life. The amounts is usually 20,000 points.
This dark and shadowy cavern is full of fire pits, falling platforms, fire imps, and moving platforms. Be careful where you jump! This is the second level on Droidiccus Prime.

Keen 6: These yellow fellows have big teeth but their bite isn't the problem! Watch out where you shoot when these guys are around. They can reflect Keen's shots with their teeth, which can do some temporary damage.
Keen GBC: The Flect is always in a hurry, and has nowhere to go. This terminally worried creature has tentacles for hair and a reflective plate on its chest. It's best to be sneaky when dealing with a flect.

Fleex Creature
The Fleex are amongst the finest engineers in the universe, having designed all the buildings and devices on Fribbulus Xax. Unfortunately, the Bloogs built them, devastating the sleek and elegant designs. The Fleex have very sensitive eyes (a natural consequence of spending a lifetime in a basement lab), so sensitive that they have to wear dark shades when they're out in the light (making them nearly blind). To compensate, they've developed an oversized ear which allows them to hear other creatures as they move around.
Temporarily stop most enemies by throwing flower powers at them and turning them into panting flowers.

Foob Creature
These are cute, harmless little yellow aliens. In fact, they're scared and will run away from you! By simply touching them, they will explode doing no damage to you. Or if you're really mean you could just zap them with your raygun.

A legendary giant stone foot that materializes from the union of twelve inchworms, and carries Keen to the bonus level (Pyramid of the Forbidden) in the Shadowlands.

Forest of Crazy Mushrooms Location
Oversized alien mushrooms are all over this level. Commander Keen must also avoid the deadly posion slugs that compete with the mushrooms for the spare sunlight on this strange planet. This level is the first of the Shikadi World.

These Martians from Mars aren't as friendly or docile as yorps. When the Garg sees you, he will suddenly charge at you. At one time in Mars' history, the Gargs ruled over the yorps. His touch is deadly. One shot will do him in.

Gems Item
Gems are used to open doors found in various levels in Keens 4-6. To open a door, just carry the gem to an appropriate gem holder in the vicinity of the door. Keen knows all about the gems and will put them in the holder.

This hard-shelled customer's worst points are its points! Its legs are spikes, so it will flip and try to poke you.

Creative Director. He is one of the most well known makers of Keen and the supposed best hope for The Universe is Toast series. After working at numerous other companies, he now created a company called Monkeystone with John Romero, however he now works at Midway.
These signs mark the most hazardous areas of Fribbulus Xax. Travelling through the hazard areas is not necessary to complete the game, but will let you rack up extra points and add hours of challenge and enjoyment to the game.
These houses are often found in villages and are home to great unknowns.

Hovva Creature
This robotic centurion is somewhat like a flying tank. The robot itself is harmless, but beware! He carries an electric coil to help him float, and will run you down without hesitation.
Fires a block of ice that will freeze Keen if he is hit by it! Not deadly at all, since the block melts off Keen after a few seconds. It is just annoying... But also helpful for reaching the Hidden City.

Impossible Pogo Trick Other
If you run left or right, then quickly press pogo and jump in succession, you blast off at an angle.
A part of your BWB Megarocket that you must recover in Keen 1 from the Vorticons. The part is taken from your brother's video game and is used for Manual Flight Control.
Let you open doors. Unlike the gems in keen the other keens, the keys in Keen Dreams stay with you when you die, unless you use them from level to level and can be used on any door. For Keen GBC, the keys are distributed throughout the level and are important to completing the level, but are also color coded.
This mysterious statue is found in Border Village in Keen 4.

Korath III Police Creature
These little people are from the secret level in episode five. They just push you along. One shot stuns them. Some people call them Goplats, Scotties, or Koraths. They got the name Goplat from the well-known error that closes the game in easy mode in version 1.0 upon the entry of that level, but Goplat actually refers to a platform that follows a specific path, which is what caused the error.
This purple fellow slides up and down poles and works on his computer terminals. Don't be on a pole he's on, 'cause he slides up and down quickly! You can't stun him in Keen GBC.

Mars Location
The planet Mars. This is where Keen 1 takes place. Mars has many common inhabitants like Yorps and Gargs. Back in history, the Yorps were slaves to the Gargs, but then the United States launched the Viking Spacecraft which landed on Mars, crushing and killing the hated Garg despot. The Yorps were then free from the tyrannical rule of the Gargs.
Commander Keen's arch-nemesis. Mortimer is usually behind all the schemes to destroy the universe or take things over. He has been known by some species as the the Gannalech or Grand Intellect.

Meep Creature
A green alien that strolls along singing, and in some way expelling slow-moving sound waves. The singing is so bad that the sound waves will kill you! One shot will kill it.

Melon Lips Creature
These annoying creatures stay in an inconvenient stationary spot, spitting watermelon seeds at you. The seeds and watermelon are deadly to the touch! Flower powers don't affect this enemy.
These stationary platforms keep vanishing and reappearing like magic. Keen can only stand on them when they are visible (if he is not looking upwards).
Commander Keen can use this weapon to stun his enemies temporarily. The Neural Ray Blaster does have unlimited ammo, but unfortunately will only shoot one blast until that blast hits something or goes off the screen.

Neural Stunner Item
Commander Keen's weapon of choice in Keen 4-6. The gun fires a green blast of energy, stunning anything that happens to get in the way. You have a limited amount of shots so be sure to collect them if you happen to find one in a level. They are worth 5 ammo.

Panting Flower Creature
After throwing a flower power at an enemy, the enemy will turn into a panting flower for a certain amount of time depending on the game's difficulty level.

If Keen gets hit by baby vorticons he will become paralyzed for a short amount of time.
Almost a kind of plant that opens and closes its "mouth" trying to chomp Keen if he comes too close. Similar to a Venus Fly Trap.

They are deceivingly cute and deadly. Two to four come out of the Pea Pod. Throw a flower power bomb at it and it becomes a panting flower for a few seconds.

Plasma Crystal Mines, The Location
The whole place has been littered with robo-mines, making it tricky to negotiate the maze-like tunnels and inlets where the Shikadi harvest plasma crystals. This is the second level on the Shikadi World.
Platforms are a major convenience- even a necessity on Fribbulus Xax. In most places they are used to transport you over dangerous obstacles, or to places out of reach. Many of the platforms(or "plats" as the locals call them) are still the old style which are operated by Bips. Other types of platforms occur on other planets as well.
Commander Keen uses his pogo stick to reach otherwise inaccessible places. In Keen GBC, you use the pogo to knock out your enemies after you have stunned them with the Neural Ray Blaster.
The most common inhabitant of the Shadowlands, Poison Slugs mean trouble twice--once if you touch them, twice if you should land in the puddles of poison they leave behind! In Keen GBC, instead of the puddles of slime, the slug charges at you! One shot stuns it permanently.

Robo-Bloog Creature
A Robo-Bloog is essentially a Cyborg Bloog. It's a Bloog with the mind of ten super-computers and the body of...well, 10, super-computers. The Robo-Bloog can fire a huge ball of energy. If either Robo-Bloog or the energy ball hits Commander Keen, that's it. Unfortunately, every time the Robo-Bloog recharges his energy ball he adds one more shot to his attack. The more overcharged Robo-Bloog becomes, the more erratic his behavior is. It'll be hard to time your attacks! If you manage to Defeat Robo-Bloog, you'll get a Plasma Crystal.

Robot Hive Location
A huge factory with high-tech robot construction equipment. As you'd expect, your main enemies are an assortment of robots with varaying intelligence. They buzz around like bees and are looking for heroes to sting! This level is located on Droidiccus Prime.
These little robotic like creatures don't really hurt you at all. Actually they can be pretty helpful when they move up, down and around walls. You can use them almost as a platform and ride around the level on them. But be careful for they can get annoying and push you into some slime or other nasty stuff!

Slicestar Creature
The slicestar is a crystalline being with razor-sharp points. Don't get near 'em! These stars seem invincible... to a point. If you fire 20 shots at one going up and down, it'll go *poof* and basically disappear. If you fire 50 shots at the slicestar that randomly bounces, you will achieve the same effect.
They'll scream and fall on top of you, unless you can trick them. Their touch is deadly. Also known as Grapes.

Switches Other
Switches in Keen 1 and 3 only control lights and bridges; switches in Keen 4-6 only activate/deactivate platforms and bridges. Switches in K6 can be jumped or pogoed off, just as they are flicked downwards.
This robot looks somewhat like a tank. The robot itself is harmless, but beware! He carries a gun, and will shoot with no hesitation. Be careful, these guys can't be killed either.
Bubbling black goop in episode four that you want to make sure to avoid, or else Keen will come to a sticky end!

Tater Trooper Creature
They are dumb, but they can be dangerous! Their touch is deadly. They are the most common inhabitants of Tuberia and shoulder a bayonet which they use to hit you with. Throw a flower power bomb at it and it becomes a panting flower for a few seconds.
What's worse than the Bloogs you've just defeated? The Robo-Bloog of course! This guy is the last enemy on his world, and if you defeat him you will get a plasma crystal! Watch out though, Robo-Bloog has the brain of an evil super-computer and can outsmart almost any being.

Teleporter Other
Keen 1 and Keen 3: The teleporters found on the maps of the games and teleport you to other locations. Keen 5: A teleportation device is hidden in the Gravitational Damping Hub of Keen 5. It leads to the bonus level on the planet of Korath III, the Secret Korath III Base. There is another return-teleporter on the map of Korath III. Keen 6: A teleporter that teleports you to an "underground" portion of Keen VI. Keen GBC: When Commander Keen uses one of these, he pops out of another one in a different area of the level in Keen GBC.
Probably the scariest of all the vegetables, with their sharp teeth. Their touch is deadly. This crazy plant jumps constantly around trying to hit Keen! Throw a flower power bomb at it and it becomes a panting flower for a few seconds.
Some floors and platforms have toxic slime all over them, that'll kill if you're foolish enough to step in the slime.

A secret creature living in the Pyramid of the Gnosticene Ancients. These creatures have the capability of transporting themselves from place to place, so you have to be quick if you want to stun one. One other thing that they do is steal items around a level, hence their name. They have been called Gnosticene Ancients in the past, but a quick e-mail to Tom Hall fixed that.

Vorticons are being controlled by the Grand Intellect, some mysterious being on the planet Vorticon VI, the home planet of Vorticons. They are the most dangerous enemy in episode 1 because they follow you, and can jump very high. Also it takes four raygun shots to defeat. They usually guard the lost parts of the BWB Megarocket.

An underwater level in Keen 4 where a Council Member is hidden.
Watch out for these green menaces. They're a lot bigger than they look! One shot while its head is raised will stun it permanently.

X-14 Tantulus Ray Other
Used to destroy major cities on Earth in Keen 2 should Keen fail at his task of turning them off. The tantalus rays are powered by cells from the Big Purple Space Amoeba.
These one-eyed green aliens are one of the main inhabitants of Mars. These martians are extrememly friendly and won't hurt you at all. But they do have a certain tendancy to push Keen into acid, or a pit so make sure you watch out! If you want to be merciful, just jump on the Yorp to paralyze it for a bit, or you can always do it in forever with one blast from your raygun. At one point in history, the Yorps were slaves to the Gargs, until the Viking Spacecraft landed on the Despot Garg, killing it and freeing the Yorps.
